Why choose reality capture?

- Sometimes we only need to document something with RealityCapture or make a replica of something for the sake of having a visual reference to inspect or view the object. It may not be to scale, but it can give you a good picture of something that maybe needs more investigation. A 3D model of a large complex structure, for example, such as a building, can easily and quickly be inspected on a computer or other device and examined to identify areas of that structure or object that needs further investigation. For example, damaged roof tiles, piping or duct issues, that sort of thing. Using a boom lift to closely inspect a building facade or using a telephoto lens from various vantage points on the ground to understand how the building is holding up over time is not necessarily the best way to inspect the building in all cases.
