Working with dashed and dotted strokes
- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll see how to work with dashed and dotted strokes in Inkscape. And we'll work with this red path here, showing a route from one place to another on this map. So I can select the path, and press the three key on my keyboard to zoom in on it. I'll open the fill and stroke dialogue, and I'll go to the stroke style tab here, and choose a dash style from the dashes menu. And there are many different types of dashes to choose from, from tightly spaced, to widely spaced out, long dashes, short dashes, and so on. I'll go back to the top of the menu and choose the third one down here. Now, you can change the look of dashes with caps, by making them rounded, and for the most part, this is all really straightforward. But one thing that's totally not obvious is how you can make a real dotted line with circular dots. If you try to apply round caps to any of the dash styles, the dashes will be stretched…
