Working with object clones

- [Instructor] If you have a design element that you need to repeat many times in your artwork, consider using an object clone. Clones are copies of objects that can be connected to the original, so when you change the original the clones change in the same way. Clones can really help you work faster and more efficiently. So let's see how they work in Inkscape. Here in my document, I have some plain card designs and I'm going to need to create some copies of the heart shape here on the ACE for the two and three cards. So I'll select the heart and choose edit clone, create clone. Also note the keyboard shortcut here, ALT D. Now the clone was created right on top of the original object. So I'm going to drag it over to the two card and use the snapping behavior to put it right in the center of the card.
