Working with stroke styles
- Let's take a look at some of the different kinds of stroke effects you can use in Inkscape. I'll start by drawing a rectangle. And to apply or change a stroke, I'll go to the Fill and Stroke dialog and start here in the Stroke paint tab. I'll make the stroke a flat color and I'll use black. In the Stroke style tab, we can set the stroke width and choose from several different units of measure, including pixels, points, centimeters, and so on. I'll leave it at pixels, and I'll make the width 20 pixels. Also note that in the style indicator at the bottom of the screen, I can see the stroke width and color, right down here. If I right-click on the width, I can choose a different unit of measure or a different value from .1 all the way up to 32. Now let's look at some of the other controls in the Stroke style tab.
