- With all that's involved with the process of capturing, processing, delivering, and archiving reality captured data, in addition to the integration challenges with existing workflows, you may be wondering whether it's worth it. The short answer is yes. The more complex the project, the better the ROI in many cases. I have observed an evolution in the AEC culture. A few years ago the idea of IPD or integrated project delivery was a cultural mindset and concept where everyone would come to the table before the project began, general contractors and trade partners alike. They would all agree on how the project would be performed, when and where a QAQC would take place, how technology and communications would be handled, and so on.
