The role of the construction manager

- When I use the term Construction Management Professional in this course, I am speaking broadly of anyone in the construction industry that manages some phase, some aspect of the construction process. That could be estimating, pre-construction, scheduling, overall project management, safety, or management of trade labor. No matter what the individual role, everyone that is a construction management professional has a part to play in the risk management process. That's important to understand, especially when we define risk as anything that exposes us to a loss. It's also important to be aware that there are other professionals involved in the project that are also responsible for different aspects of managing risk, even our accountants and our attorneys.
