Adding custom HTML

- Now let's look at the most powerful tool Apple has given us in iBooks author, the HTML widget. If you're following along, I'm on page 9 of the Channel Islands Excursion for our book. Let's add the HTML widget to our page by going up to the Widgets menu and selecting HTML Change the objects type from Anchor to Floating, and then position it on our page. This widget provides us with an almost unlimited ability to add interactive HTML5 elements and animations to our books. To fully explore the creation of these widgets is outside the scope of this course. But I would like to introduce you to my favorite tool for creating HTML widgets for iBooks Author. And that's by using a program called Tumult Hype. We'll use Hype to create our own interactive Google Map widget, that will allow our users to explore the Channel Islands national park from inside of our book. You can get a copy of Hype from the Mac App Store, or download a free trial from tumult.com/hype. Download the latest version…
