Changing an object's appearance

- Now let's work on changing the appearance on some of the objects on our page. Let's begin by working with the rectangle. Click one time on the rectangle and then in your graphics inspector, let's begin by changing the fill, from a gradient fill to a color fill, and then click inside the color well to bring up your color window. Drag the slider all the way down to the bottom to convert the color into a solid black. Now that we've taken care of the fill, let's address the stroke. The stroke is the small line that goes around the outside edge of the object. For the top part, we want to get rid of the stroke altogether, so we will click the drop-down menu and select none. Finally, we want to just adjust the opacity of this object. We can either grab the slider and drag you down to the value that we like or we can type in the value. I'm going to enter in a value of 40 on mine and press enter return. That's going to provide a nice transparent background to this object, so we'll be able to…
