Creating deep links to other iBooks

- In the last movie, we learned how to create internal deep links from an HTML widget, using a link in the general format of ibooks://#link_type, and then in parentheses the content number. Let's build upon those concepts, and create custom deep links from an interactive keynote file to a free, and a paid, iBook. If you're following along, I'm on page 32 in our Nature Watch chapter. Before watching this movie, I'd suggest watching Adding a Keynote Presentation from Chapter 10, as we'll be building on those concept as well. To create a link to another ebook from a widget, we need an address to tell the link which ebook we want to access. We can use the unique asset ID of a book from the Apple iBooks Store, in the general format of ibooks://assetid/ the nine digit asset ID number. With this format, we can link our reader to any book in the iBooks store, including ePubs and iBooks.
