How Tables of Contents work
- Before we create the table of contents for our book, it would be helpful to understand how our readers will access and interact with the table of contents inside each of the different types of ibooks that we can create. I've created three versions of the Explore California Travel Guide and included the ibook's author project files in the chapter one exercise files. The files are called ec_landscape, ec_portrait, and ec_epub for the three different types of files that we can create. We'll go ahead and preview these on our ipad. We'll step through this process in more detail in a later movie. But for now, I have my ipad connected. I'll click preview, and then click OK. First, let's have a look at the landscape book, which contains two different tables of contents. I'm inside of chapter two, Backpack California. If I touch the screen, an icon that looks like a bulleted list appears in the upper left hand corner. Touching this icon, will take me to the pagination view table of contents.…
