Preflighting on an iPad

- The most important step in creating an iBook with iBooks Author is to constantly test your book on an actual iPad in iBooks to see if what you've built looks and functions the way that you were expecting. By constantly testing your book at every stage along the way, you can save yourself hours or even days of editing time and fixing problems that you never knew existed. In this movie, I want to give you a few of the tips and tricks that I use when I preflight my books on an iPad. My first preflight tip is to make sure that your Mac is not set to automatically open any applications when a camera is connected to your Mac. Photos in particular is notorious at this. To change the settings, open up Photos and plug in your iPad to your computer. On the Import tab, uncheck this box that says Open Photos for this device.
