- iBooks Author now gives us the ability to create and work with ePub books. There are three basic ePub workflows, depending on your intended output. If you're starting with an ePub book, and planning on distributing it as an iBook, then ePub to iBooks is for you. If your goal is to distribute your book as an ePub, then follow the Create an ePub workflow. Finally, if your goal is to release your content as both an ePub and an iBook, then use the Dual Publishing workflow. Let's have a look at these three basic workflows. The first is the ePub to iBook workflow. To convert an ePub to an iBook, you'll first need to create a new iBooks document from your epub. Then, either copy and paste your imported content into an existing iBook, or customize your new iBook file. We'll look at this process in more detail in the next movie.
