- Now let's have a look at the iBooks Author user interface. On the left-hand side, you have a sidebar that is an outline of your entire book. Here you have quick access to all the elements of your book, including the Book Title, the Intro Media, the Table of Contents, the Glossary and then each of the different chapters, sections and pages within our book. At the bottom, you can change the scaling of the view for our book. I've got mine set to fit to page. You can also use the left and right arrows to quickly navigate between the pages within your book. The small gear icon will give you quick access to things, such as your character styles and you paragraph styles. At the top of our window, we have our main toolbar. Here we can add additional chapters, sections and pages to our book. The view button has two parts. The top portion of it controls the view of the left-hand sidebar and it's separated between page thumbnails or a more simplified book outline. I prefer having the…
