- [Instructor] Let's move on to some of the primary image adjustments that let you control the brightness and contrast of an image. The editing adjustments have a specific order to them. This doesn't necessarily mean that you have to apply them in this order, but it can be a useful suggested order if you're new to editing images, and are unsure of where to start. After the auto enhancement tool, the first seven of these offer controls for effecting the light or brightness and contrast qualities of an image. Let's go through these seven controls and deconstruct what each of them does. First up is exposure. Which is actually my least favorite adjustment, and one that I rarely use. The problem with exposure is that it doesn't take much of a move for the result to start looking unnatural. A slight darkening makes the image look dull and flat, and a slight brightening tends to cause detail loss in the brightest highlights.…
