- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Garrick Chow and welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers. When presenting a PowerPoint presentation, most people will double-click the file icon, which of course opens up PowerPoint, and from here you can click the Present button or press F5 to jump into Present mode, and you can start giving your presentation from here. And that's just fine in most cases, but one issue I sometimes have is when you start your presentation this way, the audience can see your presentation in edit mode first, including the thumbnails of your slides here on the left and possibly your speaker notes. And you may not always want them to get an inadvertent peek at the material you have coming up. Now of course you can plan on getting to your presentation venue ahead of your audience and already be in slideshow mode when people start coming in, but if you're just one of many speakers, and each person is taking turns…
