- [Jess] My name is Jess Stratton, and welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers. If you're like me, you probably spend a fair amount of your day in your Gmail account, so why not get it to look the way you want it to look? I have a few labels here, and let's talk today about customizing these labels and getting them to look the way you like them to look, considering you're going to be staring at them all day. So let's take a look at this Twitter email. I'm going to start by creating a label. I'll select it, click the label icon. I'll choose Create new, 'cause one doesn't exist yet. I'll call it Twitter and click Create. Now, when a label is created, it's created with this gray background on gray text, and by all means you absolutely can keep any or all of your labels looking that way. It's totally fine.
