- [Garrick] Hi, I'm Garrick Chow, and this is Monday Productivity Pointers. Like almost all mobile phones these days, the iPhone supports the ability to assign specific ringtones to your contacts. This offers the advantage of letting you know who's calling as soon as the phone starts ringing without even having to look at the phone. But what if your phone is currently silenced when someone calls? Well you can also assign a specific vibration pattern to your contacts so you'll be able to tell who's calling by their pattern. I'm going to go into my phone to contacts, and here I'll select my colleague Nick and I'll tap edit. Then I'll tap the ringtone field where mine currently says default and this is where you can select any of the ringtones listed here to assign to this contact. But at the top is where you can also assign a custom vibration pattern to a contact which can make it easy to know who's calling you…
