- [Jess] My name is Jess Stratton and welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers. This week I'm going to show you a very easy way that you can get your graphics to look like they're being cut off of a slide. It's a common thing to need to know how to do and it's much easier to do with a picture or a photo or an icon because you can crop it. But you can't crop it with the shape and that's what I'm going to show you how to do today. Let's get started with a blank slide. I'll create a new one and it's a little bit bright so I'm going to change the background of it to a different color just so it's a little bit easier on the eyes. And to get started I'm going to zoom out because I need to be able to see the edges clearly. So, I'll zoom out a few times so I can get some nice edges on either side. The first thing I'll do is insert a picture. Now, I could insert a regular picture and crop it. In this case I'm going to choose an icon because it's just visually easier for you to see.
