Make File Explorer in Windows open with your preferred configuration

- [Instructor] In this week's Monday Productivity Pointers I want to talk about how to make the File Explorer in Windows 10 stick with the settings that you prefer every time you open it. File Explorer is a tool that you use to navigate through files and folders on your storage drives. When I open up File Explorer, I'm looking at this Quick Access page which shows me shortcuts to folders that I use often. Let's say I want to go into my Documents folder. I could open it from this shortcut here or I could use the shortcut over on the side bar on the left and now I'm looking at the contents of my Documents folder but I want you to notice something. My files in my Documents folder are listed in the Details view which organizes information about my files and folders in columns. There's a Name column, Date Modified column, Type and so on. If I go back to the previous screen I was looking at by hitting the back arrow in the top left, this is not the Details view. Instead I see it laid out…
