The Places album
- [Instructor] Another album that iOS 14 automatically creates for you is places, which is based on the location metadata that is added to your photos. The places album shows you your images on a map, and lets you view photos based on where you took them. For this to work, you do need to have location services turned on for the default camera app, or for any other camera app that you're using. You can configure which apps are affected by location tagging in settings, privacy, location services. So if we scroll around on the map here, I can see that I have some images in Southern China. Obviously I have some in the United States, and there's also some in Iceland and Northern Europe. If I double tap on a map, it will zoom in. I'll double tap again for a closer view. And as I do that, the map resolves and shows me more and more locations where there are photographs, and I can keep going in here. I'll use a two finger gesture.…
