- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at running a basic application. I'm going to start by going into full screen mode to get a little bit more space. And then before we run the app, let's pick a simulator to run it on. So I'm going to click right here where it says iPod Touch. So this allows me to choose my active scheme, which is where I can select a simulator to test on. I'm going to use iPhone SE Second Generation for this course. So let's use that. And then to see what the app looks like, hit the play button up here, or Command + R for Run on your keyboard. After a little bit of time for the simulator to boot up and for the application to load, you should see the app loading up on your screen. If you don't see Hello World with a white background, then wait for a little bit more time. You might have to wait up to five minutes for it to appear.
