- [Garrick] Hi I'm Garrick Chow and welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers. Today I'd like to take a look at a new feature of the notes app on iPhones and iPads that was introduced with the release of iOS 11. The notes app now has a built in documents scanning function, letting you capture documents with your iPhone or your iPad's camera which you can then annotate with the built-in mark-up tools. Here in the notes app I'm going to create a new note and I'll tap the plus button here above the keyboard and choose scan documents. Now my iPad is still sitting on my desk right now but let's take a look at some of the controls here before we scan something. We have the flash button here to turn the flash on or off or you can leave it set to auto to let the camera decide if it's needed. I'm going to set mine to on in this case. Below that you can choose to capture the document in color, gray-scale, black and white or as a photo. I'll leave the default here but you can always change your…
