- [Garrick] Hi, I'm Garrick Chow, and welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers. Today I want to look at a feature of iOS that allows you to lock down your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to a specific app. This can be useful in many situations, for example, if you need to hand over your phone to someone to show them a document or a webpage, and you don't want them accessing other parts of your phone. It's also great if you're a parent and you want to make sure your kids stays in a single app that you're allowing them to use and they don't get into other games or apps without your permission. You can do this through a feature in iOS called Guided Access, which is there primarily to assist people who may have difficulty using touchscreen devices, but as you'll see, it can also be used for the purposes I just mentioned and more.
