- [Sean] This week on Mobile Photography Weekly, we'll be taking a look at the Apple ProRAW format that was introduced in mid-December of 2020 in the iOS 14.3 update. Now, the ability to photograph RAW files on iPhones is nothing new, but in the past you had to use other third-party apps that were designed for this purpose, some of which I've covered in previous episodes on this series. With iOS 14.3 and later, you can now capture RAW files with a native camera app on the iPhone 12 Pro and the 12 Pro Max. Let's check out how to enable this feature for the camera app on iPhones that support it, and then we'll take a quick look at why you might choose to use ProRAW for some of your photos. There's nothing complicated about using Apple ProRAW for your photography.
