- This week on Mobile Photography Weekly, we're going to spend some time considering and contemplating the art of the diptych or the pairing of two photographs to create an entirely new image. It's been a while since we last visited this topic on this series, so I thought that I would share some of my recent diptych creations with you, as well as some ideas on the types of photos that might work well in this format. There are many ways that you can approach pairing photos together to create a diptych. The images can be very similar as we see here in this composition of the two shots of the same train as it passed by a lonely tree. Or they can be very different, as with this diptych that pairs together a photo of German castle with an image of old mining equipment. In this composition, it is the similar shapes of the castle tour and the old springs that visually work well together to suggest an industrial structure below…
