Using the exercise files

- [Joe] I've provided a comprehensive set of exercise files arranged by chapter to accompany each of the lessons in this course. The exercise files are contained in a folder named ExerciseFiles. I recommend that you copy the folder to some place on your computer where it is easy to access. I've placed it here on my Desktop, just to make it easy to access for me, but you can put it where ever it makes most sense for you. The exercises are arranged in folders that correspond to each chapter in the course. Let's take a look. Chapter one contains a set of examples that provide a quick overview of the various features of jQuery. We will work through these in order to get a feel for how jQuery operates and some of the things it can do. The rest of the chapters contain exercises for the course. Each exercise has two versions, a start version and a finished version. For each of the lessons, I'm going to use the start version of the exercise and build towards the finished version. It's entirely up to you how you want to use these exercise files. If you want to follow along with me and use the start version of each exercise to build the finished version, well, that's fine. If you'd rather just open the finished version of the exercise and write in the browser to see how it works and play around with it in the developer tools, well, that's fine too. In addition to the exercises, I've also provided several different programming challenges. These challenges will be located in a folder called HPlusSport. And like the other examples, there's a start and a finished version. These folders contain the code for a fictitious health product company in which we will implement some features and functionality. The purpose of these challenges is to give you a sense of what it's like to implement jQuery in a real app setting. Okay, now that we've seen how the exercise files are laid out, let's get on with the course.
