From the course: Learning jQuery UI
What you should already know
- Before starting this course, there are a few things that you should know and already be familiar with. You should already be familiar with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. We're going to be writing JavaScript code in this course and using HTML and CSS to control the presentation. If you need to brush up on your HTML skills, I suggest you check out HTML Essential Training right here on Lynda.com with James Williamson. If you need help with JavaScript, check out JavaScript Essential Training with Simon Allardice, also here on Lynda.com. And finally, for CSS, James Williamson also has a course called CSS Fundamentals, which you should check out if you need help with CSS. jQuery UI is also built on top of the popular jQuery library, so you might want to have some passing familiarity with jQuery syntax and how it works. If you want to brush up on your jQuery, I have a course here on Lynda.com called jQuery Essential Training. Once you feel that you've got the basics down and you're prepared to move on, we can begin with the course.
