Updating nano on a Mac, using Homebrew

- If you're using a Mac, you probably have a version of nano that's a little bit out of date. Mac OX X Yosemite still ships with 2.0.6, and the current version at the time I'm recording this is 2.2.6. Most of what I'll show you in this course will still work, though, with 2.0.6. We can update nano, but it requires a little bit of command line work. If you're happy with 2.0.6, just skip the rest of this movie. I'll press control x to exit nano. To install the latest version of nano on a Mac, I'll first install the Homebrew Package Manager. This allows me access to a repository of software similar to those on major Linux distributions. There's a command toward the bottom of the page that I'll Copy. And I'll Paste it into my terminal. What this does is download an installation script and then run it through Ruby.
